Dr. Suku George is Board Certified in Gastroenterology with additional expertise in Endoscopic Ultrasound, ERCP, and GI cancers. He has been in practice since 2000. His primary office is Kennestone/Marietta, but he also sees patients at our Vinings/Windy Hill office.
Served as Vice Chair, Department of Medicine from 2011-2013, Served as Chair, Department of Medicine from 2013-2015.
Dr. George received his Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill specializing in health policy, Research and Administration. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine at the Medical College Trivandrum, University of Kerala Trivandrum in Kerala, India. He then completed his Internal Medicine residencies at the Medical College Trivandrum, New York Medical College/Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and Wright State University. Following his residencies he completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Florida and an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at GI Consultants in Milwaukee, WI.
Dr. George has co-authored over 25 publications and has held several academic appointments at University of Iowa College of Medicine, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and currently holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical professor, Medical College of Georgia/Georgia Regents University, Augusta, GA. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. George was named a “Top Doctor” by Georgia Trend Magazine in 2023.
